Besishahar
Besishahar is district headquarter and a small town of Lamjung. The office of district headquarter was transfer from Kuncha to Besishahar in 2028 BS (1971 A.D.). It is bounded on the north by Marshyangdi River, On the south by Baglung Pani VDC, on the west by Majuwa Khola and on the east by Puma Khola .
Highest temperature in hot season reaches upto 32 degree ‘c’ and Lowest temperature falls upto 5 degree ‘c’.
Population of the town are about 10,000 out of this 49% are male & 51% are female . Besishahar is main marketing place for whole lamjung and Manang district. This is also starting point for Annapurna Trek. It has connection with Prithiwi Highway through 42 km asphalt road. There is a temple called Narayansthan, Bhimsensthan, Trivenisthan, Shiva Mandir and Monastery in Chandidada.
